Default Gears

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 with a 5.9 in it, how do I find out what gears I have in it? I have only had it for a month,so far I like it alot but the gas milage is not to good,plenty of power!

Should have a tag on the rear or a sticker in the glove box , if its a non sport , non off road then you got a 3.55 gear , unless some one had them change...

mine has a sticker under the hood that said the gear.. but this a 95 i don't know if they did that in 01

Yea, I've got a buddy with an '02 RCSB 4x4 and he had a tag on the rear axle and it was also on my '04 (still there, but it lies, as I've since had 4.56s installed). So I'm pretty sure you'll find one there...

Yeah there should be a sticker wrapped around the axel tube, driver side, that shows the axel size and gear ratio. 9 1/4" / 3.55
