I tried lowering my spare, broke the clevis pin now the crank just spins and does nothing. I cut the wench cable lowered the spare. Now I need a new wench. The problem is Dodge wants $170.00 for a new one and it's redesigned. So my question does anyone have a spare from a wrecked dodge ram 1500 ?????

 

if no one has one, ur best bet would be to go to a junkyard a pull one

 

Yep I figured that. I plan on calling of few bone yards and see if they can ship me one.

 

The same thing happened to me the plastic around the winch broke and only spun. I went to a junkyard and they said $95. I then went to one of those U-pull-it places took it off myself and it was $5. So that is the best way.

 

not sure if you are the one that asked me , but are you the one with the 8 ft bed that asked me about this ??
keep in mind the only part that is different is the part that you see at the end of the bed the metal bar that attaches to the winch,that is.

i do have a used one and can get you a new one also

no reason why we can work something out just let me know
