I have a 94 1500 4x4 with a 360 and auto trans. The trans is shot and the engine has 248,000 miles but the body is in very good shape. I have a 95 1500 4x4 with a 318 and manual transmission. The engine has 100,000 miles and transmission is good but the body has some very badly rusted out places under the doors and around the wheel wells.
I want to to put the motor and transmission from the 95 into the 94. What I'm wondering is will this be a simple switch or will I run into problems because one truck has an automatic and one has a manual.
If anyone has done this before any tips would be sincerely appreciated.

The manual part will be a royal PITA. Engines are a cake walk. At least you have all the parts for the man trans swap.. Just take pics an document your proceedure.. makes it easier to reinstall.
