tcc solenoid/ od solenoid helpppppppp
I thought I'd already posted this but I can't find it now!
I need to replace the tcc solenoid/ od solenoid but heres my question before I go to the stealership. Is it an all in one solenoid, "solenoid pack", or are they individual. One of the shops up here that I've been talking to has mentioned a solenoid pack but i'm not sure what that is exactly. Also on RockAuto.com I found this:
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # TCS51 {TRANSMISSION CONTROL SOLENOID}
4 Speed Transmission; With Lock Up Converter
[/align]
$88.79
$0.00
$88.79
Is this the "solenoid pack" that they're talking about and is it what I need?
Thanks in advance,
Shawn

RE: tcc solenoid/ od solenoid helpppppppp
Ok, does anybody have any input? I really need to get these parts this week cause I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks and I kinda don't wanna do it on a fussy tranny!
And I really don't want to have to get them at the stealership.
Anyone, anyone............... Bueler, Bueler!

Your OD/Lockup selenoids are on the same bracket and are replaced together. While you have things that far apart, you might as well replace the shift selenoid and pressure switch too, since they both get plugged with the same guck that screws up the tcc selenoid.
Did you throw a code? Based on experience, you are probably putting a band-aid on a cracked bone. Good luck.
