Default Seeking help!

Does anyone know why my 1999 dodge ram 1500 shuts down whil driving? its like some just turned it off, the gauges quit working but the lights and radio still work! you can let it set for about 5-10 minutes and turn it back on and everything works and it will crank right up! my ram is 5.2L V8 with a MSD coil and MSD plug wires, i have a stage 2 jet chip, Dual flowmasters. i have replaced the fuel pump assembly and put a new crank sensor in it. someone told me that it might be my jet chip goin bad cause it to shut down. someone else said it was the coil pack gettin hot! does anyone have any advice on the matter?

Its the Jet Stage 2 chip, I'm willing to bet. Its been known to do that.

Oh, and BTW, it actually hurts your performance more than it helps. One of the guys here tested it at the track, the Jet chip increased his times, rather than lowering them.

Mine did that too except after it restarted it wouldn't shift right. I also have the stage 2 jet chip but with the 5.9 in an 01. I changed out the IAC and rehooked the battery and everything is back to normal.
