To be honest I never see 2500 RPM and the 52mm made no noticeable improvement in mileage or performance for me.

Well, I do have 285 tires with stock 3.55 gears. So there could be a possibility that the amount my truck is undergeared outweighs the little benefits I would have seen with the fastman upgrade, who knows, I thought there would have been an increase as well.

This weekend hopefully (weather permitting) I'll be swapping tires with a friends truck that has 265's on it to see how my truck performs. Currently getting around 13-15 mpg which I guess is pretty good for a 360 with 285's and 3.55's, so I'm hoping to see better with the 265's. Although it will be hard to keep my foot out of it I can assure you [8D].

Sorry that was pretty off topic

I have to agree with the above said. I didn't really notice much of a difference if any. The butt dyno didn't sense anything. My truck has always been pretty peppy for the 5.2, but I can't say it was a worthwhile $250 mod. With that said, I did aquire the ability to coast. Dunno why, but she will roll down the road a bit better when im off the pedel, than with my old TB. I still have my old TB in the basement which I may swap back and see whats up.

I noticed a tad bit down low, not a great deal, but you really notice it when you open her up, especially to merge into high speed traffic on the interstate. Much more get up and go at highway speeds. You should notice it at those speeds, when accelerating, the most.

However, I didn't notice an increase of MPGs either, probably due to my lead foot being even heavier after I got that extra bit of get up and go.

its a building block people. its not the do allend all mod for ultimate power, thats going to take like a supercharger to accomplish. mine added a noticeable responsiveness and i could feel the difference in the way my truck operated.

This is the first time I've heard people really saying they didn't notice a huge difference. I've heard a few say it was one of the more noticable changes. However I'm glad I saw this thread now. I usually see people say how great it is then I buy one and find out that I don't see a difference then others post up after I buy it saying the same thing. I'm glad I saw this first. I mean I know it's a "working block" and it may help more with other mods however I don't know that I want to keep dumping money into the truck for stuff that I can't see or feel a difference from. The truck is maybe slightly faster but not a ton than when I started and quite a bit is done to it. Honestly I'm more into the appearance mods right now unless I decide to do something big performance wise which I don't want to quite yet. I've done most of the little bolt on stuff and maybe it helped some but it wasn't a night and day difference. I was thinking of the fastman but since you guys don't seem to notice a difference I think I'd rather spend $200 and whatever on something else.

sorry for not responding i couldnt log into the forum yesterday.i thought you had one hometheaterman, im a dummy, dah, its not in your sig.but i will be getting a superchips programmer, and with that and a new tb i would have thought i would see cnsierable gains from all that i remember from other post.this is discuraging.i wonder how much a high flow cat is, and if its around the same money what would give you better gains.

I don't have one. I have most of other bolt on things minus headers and aftermarket cat and this. I have a Hypertech instead of a Superchips though so I can't comment on that.
