Default Interior Electrical Problem.

Hello Dodge owners!

I am posting for a friend of mine. He has a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 V8. For some reason his interior electrical has gone all wacky. The power windows and power locks have stopped working. Also, the radio is on but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. The only thing that he can think of is that he was towing his trailer and the wiring may be a little messed up. He said he was backing up when it happened. I have gone over all of the fuses and none are blown. Is there a fuseible link that might have blown out somewhere that the power for these three things runs through? Any and all help is appreciated!

I am having the same problem. It is really begining to **** me off. I checked a lot of forums and everyone said fuses, breakers the ctm. Well I started at the simplest I checked all of the fuses, then the breakers then I broke down and spent $270.00 on a new CTM central timing module. Still got the same problems. I am ready to set it on fire and sell it for scrap.

Ok guys.. we found the problem. There is a plug under the driver side dash that all of the power windows, locks, and speakers run through. Some how the plug came loose. This maybe what is wrong with your trucks also. Check all the plugs, you might find one that is loose but not all the way disconnected. Please let me know if this fixes your problem.

Can you give me a better location of the plug? Is it to the left or right of the steering column? Is it toward the firewall or more toward the drivers seat? Did you have to pull the dash panel below the steering wheel? Sorry for all of the questions, just trying to narrow the plugs location down. If you could post a picture that would be great too, but I know that would be a lot of trouble. Thanks for the info.

My interior light doesn't work, and I changed the bulb too... any ideas?
