Trans fluid everywhere!!!!!
Well I dropped the pan today to see what the damage was on everything( 130,000 miles and no tranny service!) and got completely soaked in that stuff! I guess thats the only downfall to using the car lift at the shop! Good news, there wasn't nearly as much gunk as I was expecting, just a little bit around the magnet and a little film around the pan. New filter and fluid and she actually runs a whole hell of a lot smoother. Hopefully she stays that way!
If I were you, I'd throw a bottle of this stuff in while you're at it. I have personally experienced this 'magic in a bottle' if you will (no, I don't get paid to say that.. this stuff works). I have a 95' accord with 180K and one day while driving from austin to san antonio, about 80 miles, the car literally lost nearly all power. I had to coast into a gas station and barely made it into a parking spot, it felt like the damn thing was in neutral. After about 30 minutes of allowing it to cool down, the car made it, surprisingly, all the way back home... I'm guessing since it was now night time and much cooler at night in Texas. Anyhow, I put a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix in it and I could not believe the instant result. The difference was night and day, it felt like a brand new transmission. Since then I've only had it flushed and replaced the filter, and of course put another bottle of this stuff... but I have never had this problem again. Definitely worth a look IMHO.

I actually put this stuff in it last week so it could go through and kind of break everything up a little bit, it seems to be just about the same, though its not solvent free!
That's a good idea. I'm actually doing the same to my ram right now.. completely rebuilt the tranny from the ground up and installed new converter. Gonna slosh some generic fluids around for a few hundred miles then have it flushed and add a bottle of Lucas and see how she does towing a 22 footer SeaRay Mercruiser (after I fab up my procharger c2... not stock lol).
