Default Sport vs Non-Sport Taillights

Need to replace both taillampson the Ram 2500 long bedI just picked up.

I am finding listing for sport and non sport package lamps. Whats the differance between the two, and are then interchangeable?

The sport ones the outter trim is painted to match the color of whatever vehicle they are on versus the non sport ones have black plastic trim around them. As far as I know they should be interchangeable though but I can't be 100% certain. I've never heard anyone say there is any other difference other than color though and they look the same.

The bulb should be the same on the taillights... Now if it were a headlight bulb on a 99-01 sport then yeah its different but the taillights are all the same

the difference on the sport ones is that the plastic around the light is smooth so it is paintable to matck the color of the truck. the non sport ones are textured black
