remove the stock oil pressure sending unit, which is on the top of the block, very back of the engine, passenger side, next to the distributor. very hard to reach. note the thread size of the nipple.

buy a mechanical gauge. it will have some kind of plumbing line/fittings. hope that its the same size fitting, or can be adapted to the same size fitting as the stock unit. take the stock sensor and the mechanical gauge/line to the parts store or plumbing supply. you need a splitter fitting - one male nipple to go into the top of the block. two female threaded ports to support your stock sending unit and your new mechanical gauge.

connect it all together, and run your tubing to where ever you want your gauge. you can bring it through the firewall nice and permanent, or strap it to the cowl temporarily.
