Default New Shocks, need input

Ok,

Now i don't go off roading, because i have little faith in the suspension components of my truck, and i have dropped my driveshaft twice already. So with that being said,
what shocks should be sufficient for me.

My lift is 2-3 inches, so I will need decent shocks. I currently have a set of rusted Rancho 5 way adjustable shocks that summit doesn't even sell anymore. The RS9000 shocks are 99 each, and i don;t offroad anymore. I was looking at the Pro comp shocks, and the rancho RS17000 self adjusting shocks.

Am i going overkill? Or should i just get the 37 dollar Skyjacker Nitros.
I am asking because i don;t know much about suspension. I need new shocks as well. Too much vibration on the highway.

Also, whats a good steering stabilizer bar? Might as well get that too.

Thanks,
Dan

P.S. I just paid for an alignment two days ago. Will i need to get another alignment after the shocks are replaced?

No, you won't need another alignment.

Get the Edelbrock IAS, Rancho RSX or Trail Master SSV for shocks.

You can do about whatever for the steering stabilizer.

I just ordered the Rancho RS5000s yesterday before reading this post. I should have paid the extra 15 bucks a shock. THey do look better. But i did the summit search for things below 50 dollars.

But I plan on only keeping my ram for another 3 years, so i didn't want to go overkill. After that i am gonna look for a nice 2001 extended cab 5.2 Switch out all the underhood mods and MABYBE get another lift. I really need an extended cab though.

Don't get the Edelbrocks. Just rebranded KYB shocks.
