How hard is it to install a Transgo shift kit?

Default How hard is it to install a Transgo shift kit?

Anyone have this? I am wondering if i could do it myself. Does it invlove dropping the tranny? I have never done that.

it is not that difficult but i do reccomend that you take it to some one who knows becuase you have to drill into the transmission, please do not attempt it yourself

I wondered the same, but... drilling holes (small pieces of metal) + tranny.... = something I don't wanna tackle myself. My local tranny shop said 250 otd for parts install and adjustment.Tranny is the one thing I won't take chances with.

It's just drilling onto the valve body which sn't that bad, but the directions with the kit suck.

I got one thinking to do it myself. But when I saw the word drill. I will hold off. When the tranny goes I will have the kit installed then.

Let a pro do it
