Default compressor question

when you have the air conditioning on, does the compressor run constantly? mine clicks on for about 5 seconds then clicks off, runs again then cuts off again.

I think the freon is getting low.

cutting on and off, more than 10 times a minute, it a classic sign of low freon. You've got a leak somewhere. I'm going to load some Red Angel A/C stop leak into mine tomorrow if my dye injector comes in tomorrow, I'll let you know how it works.

Here's a really good and easy gauge to check your freon with. Just hook it up to the low side:
