Default U-Joint Vibration

Hey all,

Just replacedboth universal joints on the driveshaft today, and now as I'm accelerating there is a vibration. Feel it in the steering wheel and the gas pedal from 10 mph and up (doesn't stop just vibrates quicker). How would I go about adjusting the joints and/or driveshaft to fix this? Everything went in smooth, the only thing is that I didn't mark the original placement on the driveshaft [:@]. Is this the problem, and how can I get it back to a smooth rotation?

Any tips and comments are welcome, and sinceI can't do anything with the truck until tomorrow night, help is appreciated.

No responses?

I can't work on the truck today (damn rain) so I'll let this thread gather some more hits and maybe someone will respond. Any help is appreciated!

By the way, I did a search on this site and a few others and still came up with nothing.

Thanks guys

You've probably got the driveshaft unbalanced. I've never seen a driveshaft without a weight or 2 welded to it. If you misaligned it, you'll have to set it back correctly.
