i have a 97 5.2L ram 114000 miles
just recently ive been hearin my valves clickin on idle and its never done it before
its a pretty loud click too
ive heard that this could be a symtom of the dreaded plenum gasket goin out, is that true

Default RE: valves clickin

no, you'll never here a plenum failure (except maybe some pinging in some cases). if your valves are clicking, maybe your not getting adequate oil pressure to the top of the motor? the rockers are not adjustable. I'd suggest doing a motor flush, you might have some gunk in there blocking oil flow. Put in some fresh 10w30 dino oil and run it for about 500 miles, then swap it out for some premium synthetic stuff and see how it does.
