Default Hemi Conversion??

My dad said to me today that I should look for a hemi to replace my motor instead of messing with it. Is it possible to fit a hemi in our trucks?

This all came about because I'm still having the intermitint misfire and sometimes it runs rough when you first fire it up. I was thinking about doing a huges plenum pan and maybe hd heads. He seems to think a hemi would be better

Hemi = Better MPGs, more power up high.
Magnum = More power down low.

Just what I've seen. The 5.7 HEMIs seem to have good power in the mid-high range, but not as good as our Magnums in the lower RPMs.

Also, have fun changing the spark plugs. 2 plugs per cylinder, 16 total.

Have fun finding a whole new drive train to match it. Not saying you can't do it, but it won't be cheap, or easy.

+1. definatly wont be cheap or easy. you would need the computer, tranny, and engine. the cheapest way to do that would be to buy a wrecked hemi and transfer it over.

if you want to save money, just build a stroker kit for yours. I think it would be cheaper than finding a Hemi and more powerful. If you find a hemi, put a 6.1L hemi cam in it before you set it in.
