Default A/C compresor clutch signal

I have a00' 2500 5.9

A/C doesn't blow cold, clutch doesn't lock up when running. perf evac & recharge of system. didn't find any leaks, it' held agood vac for 15min beforecharging.Once it's charged, still no clutch lockup.Checked the connector to the compressor, no voltage comming in. Jumped 12v& ground to the comp and the clutch locks up anda/c blows cold. So....

Where does the compget it's signal from? Hi pres sensor? Low pres sensor? I'm thinking I should just be able to removed a sensor connector and jump the pins,do this to both hi & low, and see
which one, when jumped, turns the comp clutch on?

Should work in my head, but I dont' have much experiance w/ domestic's, i'm a euro car tech by trade.

the low side clutch resistor is on the drier canister by the PCM. Not sure where the high side one is.

Yeah, the high side is right off the pres line near the compressor. I just need to know where the signal comes from. I don't wanna be jumpin pins and powering something that does get power, or is maybe ground switch...

Anyone?

jump the switch on the accumulator and see if compressor turns on.if it does then switch is bad.do the same with the high side switch by the compressor
