annndddd ... no idea what the "chalk test" is. from the sounds of it, seems like a tire sobriety test.

ORIGINAL: Silver_Dodge

My tires are E rated, and Toyo recommended 30-35 psi for daily use, and more depending on the load weight. They are wearing perfectly so far.
You can run 32-35 psi in an E-load no problem. I was just recommending more pressure if towing. I would definitiely lean towards 35 psi and no less on any Dodge truck no matter what ply size though.

FWIW I have D load Michelins on my truck and I run 45 psi all year round. Even with an occasional 5000lb tow, no problems.

my max psi rating on the tire sidewall says 80 psi, but i filled it to 40 psi on a cold day and on a hot day it reads around 44 psi. i filled them up to 75 psi once and the ride was way too stiff.

I run my pro comp xtreme at's at 52/50 f/r... 75k miles out of them and still hanging in there.

Its my rule of thumb to go 70~80% of max psi, I've had good results doing it that way and will continue to do so. I prefer a solid tire under me instead of a mushy one for comfort.
