i've not Nasta polished stainless. they bolt to the body mounts, and have a brace on each end to that goes to the inside of the body. they are very sturdy, and after 2-3 years look like brand new.
i'll look for a pic..

I have Westin ones. That's what most of the others I know with them have too. They have been on the truck since I've had it and who knows how long before that. I can't say they look brand new but they don't look bad either. They just have some light scratches and stuff in them which is not bad at all and you have to be up close to see. I can't blame them. The paint is just as bad or worse. They have held up well. The only spot I See any rust is where they mount up. They mount to the frame or body mounts I think. Not sure which as I've never looked too closely but up that way. The only problem I've seen and I've had buddies that have had this same problem but anyway that black pad thing you step on comes loose. Some buddies have broken off. Mine just was loose. The way I found to fix it. Got the idea after a buddy had it done. Just take two screw one on each end of that black piece and put them in. I painted mine black so they don't stand out. They don't look bad at all and hold it tight. Simple fix. I'd assume all eventually have them get loose like this after lots of use. Stepping on it has to be hard I know. I really like my Westin ones. See one of my other threads with pictures if you want pictures.
