This is an ongoing problem. I have a 2000 1500 Ram 5.9 2WD. A while back the tranny was leaking from the 'Front Pump Seal' also known as 'Output Shaft Seal'. A new seal was fitted but after a week or two started to leak again. My parts supplier has now sent me a 'sleeve' which seals a worn shaft. If you were to replace your 'Front Pump Seal' would you also replace other components in that area
(if so, which ?)orgo for a quick fix which this sleeve seems to be ?
I don't want to pay my mechanic for a job which will need doing again.
