update....
well the forum has been crazy, so I haven't been posting in a while, lots of stuff has happened since i was last on here
1 my tranny went out, I was pulling a 28,000lb trailor got it to the job site, but the next day I didn't have any 1st gear
2 4.88's are installed in the rearend, waiting on ring gear bolts to do the front
3 had a tire come apart on the interstate, does anyone know how to get rubber off of paint?
I drove about 10 miles with the tire rubbing the fender, and I can't get the rubber off the paint
4 Looking at some new tires, thinking of going with BF Goodrich Allterrains 35x12.50 on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 inches back spacing, do you think it will fit with my truck, I have a 3inch diesel lift on my 1500, I actually wanted 4.5inch back spacing but the wheels I like only come in 3.75inch back spacing.
5 someone hit my truck and dented my front fender, looking for a set of fender flares to cover it up.

I hate it when it seems like things happen all at once. Of course I also hate it when they keep happening one after the other, so I don't know which is worse...Best wishes.
On a side note, how do you like the 4.88's with those 36" tires? Just curious how that setup works for you.

You pulled 14 tons with a 1500? You only have a lift. You need at least a CAI, LT Headers, and a Flowmaster on that thing before you attempt that stuff.
Try goo gone on the tires, or heat and an old credit card to scrape it off.

well, the 4.88's I still don't have enough power,
When I am at a stoplight completely stopped, and I mash it all the way, it chirps the tires. With the 3.55's and the 265's I had, it would get sideways. When I pull a heavy trailor, like today I was pulling roughly 8,000lbs, it's a dog for just a second or two, I wanted to put a 1800rpm stall convertor, but the transmission shop said not to do that.
Yea, I may have pulled 14tons, and I did make it to my destination, but from now on I am going to let my dad do that with his 1 ton and 28ft gooseneck
Just say,2500dollars is a tough way to learn something, but believe me it is only going to take one time.
How much heat, you think like my moms hair dryer, or rent a heat gun
