Well, I researched it and all I can say is that I hope I don't have a bad plenum gasket.[sm=insomnia.gif]Talk about a lot of work. Maybe I can get my mechanic friend to do it for several nice meals and a lot of beer but we'll see. I'll check it when I get home but that is going to be "the suck" if it is leaking.[:@]

if yours has never been fixed, its almost a guaranteed leak.

its a big job, but if you combine it with water pump and timing chain and tune up, then you save a ton of cash over paying a shop to do it.

It's a FUN job, I had a blast fixing mine. Got me out of the house, away from the, well, you know. Got a little tipsy. And had a great running truck afterward.

As far as fixes go, it's one of the easier big jobs. Not too many specialty tools involved, and no expensive ones for sure. let me tell you, if your tearing into it, just go ahead and mod the keg, you'll thank me later.

I looked down inside the TB and this is exactly what I found, but on the inside, of course. Not really "pooling" but it is very dirty when you shine a flashlight down in there and the TB blades are caked as well. Looks like I better get ready for some fun.

When you say "tune up" does that just mean plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? Or is the tune up you're thinking of more in depth than that? I'm going to have a buddy do it for a lot of food and beer and he will have access to a dealership's lifts, tools, etc. since he works there. I already did the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor so hopefully I'll just get him to d othe timing chain, water pump, and plenum gasket.
