96 3500 cummins 5 speed towing question
Hi guys! I am new to this site and need a little help. Maybe someone here has some experience that can help me. I just bought a 52' enclosed trailer to haul my cars with and my 96 3500 Cummins 5 speed needs a little more power to make it happen. I already have the TST 280 hp plate and was thinking about going to the 330 hp plate and the 16cm turbo housing. The loaded weight will be around 18-20K. Does anyone have experience towing these kinds of loads with the 12 valve 5 speed combo? I am in Florida so hills are not a problem right now but might be if I go on a trip. Any help from those with experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks[/align]
what gears do you have in the truck. 3.55's were stock, I would recommend 4.10's.
To achieve the same amount of power you'd have to spend alot more then a grand in the motor,

bigger turbo and injectors along with a beefier trans and clutch setup. Also make sure you open that exhaust up and maybe have your injection pump toyed with a little.
