What is this connector for?
This is a picture of it on my 99 sport. I just bought an 01 diesel that is wrecked and this connector is smashed and missing. It has a bunch of wires going to it, but the plug in looks like a shunt and doesn't have any wires going to it. I am wondering what it does and if it is the same on the gas and diesel trucks. I don't even have a clue what to ask for when looking for it.

I've been wondering the some thing cause i have it on my 99 gas 1500.I think it might have to do with a engine block heater, cause thats where the cord comes out from on trucs that are equipped with them.
The connector is on the passenger side at the bottom of the core support. The Diesel has one on the drivers side also, but the 1500 only has one on the passenger side that I could find.
I just don't want to start the truck and have the air bags pop or fry the computer becuase this connector was actually important.
