Default ABS and brake light

so I was working on my stereo today, placing all the wiring a little more strategically getting it all ready for the final step, and I noticed when I went to leave my house today, that my ABS and Brake lights were on, even when I was driving. I was wondering if maybe I had blown a fuse or something that connected to those if maybe I had caught the power wire and circuited it through and blew something completely random... Any ideas? I dont think I am having any problems, my e-brake will be off, and is physically off, and my ABS doesnt seem to be having any troubles, so I thought it must be electrical like that, and I dont know if the ABS and brake light would come on for the same reasons unless it was electrical since they are mostly two different systems altogether??

And also, I need to add that the truck is having an issue accelerating occasionally, when I shift into second gear its almost like it just gets stuck at the rpm range its at and kinda hops around a little bit, I feel like it might not be getting air?? but I dont see how thats possible, I have a K&N filter recently cleaned, I cleaned my carbs, and I just ran a tank of supreme, and I have great flow through my flowmaster exhaust, the only thing I have that isnt built for high flow are my headers... now I know the truck has had a vacuum leak for like...150k of the miles out of the 200k on it now, so if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it!! its just gotten worse and more frequent. it will go away as soon as I go to shift again, I dont know, its just somewhat embarassing sometimesconsidering my friends all knewI had the faster rig usually and to get beat by my friends 4bangernissan the other day because itdid it sucked.and also was a little scary earlier today when I went to go pull out of a parking lot in traffic and there was a large truck coming at me and my truck did that...

Thanks in advance!

You need to have the code(s) read with an ABS capable scanner. If the lite is on you have no ABS.

Any chance you are having any wierd speedometer issues too? Alot of times the VSS will cause this even if you don't have speedo probs.

if you dont have access to a scanner the codes are listed in the chilton manual... it says something about grounding the diagnostic port of the ABS box and counting the number of times the ABS light flashes. if its something your interesting in tryin to get the codes PM me and I will give you a more detailed description when I have the book in front of me. Otherwise I would try the VSS like Zman said fixed my lights no problem
