Default TPS or Trans???

My 95 is starting to hang between 2nd and 3rd sometimes and 3rd and 4th sometimes and also won't go into OD on occasion. When this happens I can let off the accellerator, and ease back into it and the truck will shift fine. Have performed regular trans PM's since the truck was new and have had no sludge or metal in the pan. This has just started to happen and is getting a little annoying. I am leaning towards the TPS. I haven't had the time to backprobe the sensor to test it yet. Was just wondering if you guys think I'm headed in the right direction. It is the original TPS with 135K miles on it.

I hate to soundlike a broken record , but , clean the IAC and TPS and take off the TB and clean it. If that doesnt work replace the TPS. If that doesn't work chances are good the tranny is saying help me . And while the TB is off check the plenum .

When my TPS went bad it just caused the rpms to jump up and then go back down then jump up again when going down the interstate with the cruise control on is when I noticed this. It was like it was surging.

Your issues sound more like a transmission to me but I could be wrong.
