What's wrong with people?
Alright,1st post here but i'm on F-150 and GM forums so since I have a couple Dodges now, I guess I should join. But my problem is how cheap people are nowa days..... Yea I know gas is expensive etc. but here me out. I recently bought a '96 Dodge 1/2 ton 4wd with a 318 auto in it. Runs and drives/shifts great. Cold AC, no slop anywhere. All it needs are a few things from the junk yard or craigslist..... which include a radiator core support... $50, front fender... $50, Hood.... $25 and new seals in the steering box. Maybe a tail gate and a radioalso if its that important. It was never wrecked... my buddy bought this truck to replace his dented front end with this one. Well, I get 3 calls a day as I listed it on Craigslist out of St.Louis. I swear each person expects this truck to be 100% perfect as I just stated in the ad that it needs a few things and i'm only asking $1300 obo for a perfectly functional, good running truck! I'm just venting but everyone I talk to on GM and Ford forums think i'm loony for asking $1300 obo for this truck even though it'll take $300ish in parts to make it 100% perfect...... Owell, i'll post a pic and see what you guys think. Also, I specifically stated in the add this would make a great mud play or work truck...

Looks like a pretty decent looking truck for $1300......I mean no used vehicle is 100% perfect! And I don't know the truck personally but it looks like its worth what your asking.
You did wrong by putting "o.b.o". That basically opens the door to haggle. Next time put firm!. You will still get the people that will try to haggle but that is craigslist for you. But one thing I can say is it pays off to haggle. I bought my 99 single cab for 1600, and the family wanted 4k at first. DOnt ask me how I got them that low.
But yea. OBO means just that.

Well I had a couple different adds. I started at 1500 firm then $1300 firm then $1300 obo. I wanna keep it but I have three other trucks, a CBR600rr and a Honda 450R quad. Plus i'm getting a 22' in board boat here in a few..... and I live in a subdivision! I've had 4 comfirmed buys on this thing and then never hear back from the people....
not a bad looking truck. specially if you consider the any running auto is worth $500 any 4x4 worth double rule.
heck you could prolly buy it, and sell those rims for a few hunny then turn around and part it out to make a proffit.

I must say that truck looks dirty. Still it's worth at least $1,300. If you ask me it's worth more. People are dicks lately to trucks because of fuel prices. Everyone is expecting to get a truck for the price of a "ran into the ground" Geo. 3 years ago you easily could of sold that for $5,000. All I can say is stand firm and wait it out.
