Choosing Wheel Cylinders

Choosing Wheel Cylinders
Hello!
I have a 1999 2500 4x4 Cummins and I am in the process of replacing the rear wheel brake cylinders. Today I bought 2 cylinders from NAPA and I am very disappointed with the quality and fit - Part #37290 I think the brand is 'United'. The rubber boots get squished when placed between the bracket that is built into the backing plate. Overall they are wider than the original ones and just do not fit well. NAPA does not offer any alternate cylinders for my application. They are going back to NAPA tomorrow because I won't put junk like this on my truck. Sure would like to get my truck off jack stands ASAP. Are there better cylinders out there?
Many Thanks For Any Suggestions!

RE: Choosing Wheel Cylinders
Sorry about all CAPS on my first post, I'm new to this board.
Thankyou for your reply Sixtysixdeuce, I showed the United cylinders to a local mechanic and he said just about the same thing you did about the NAPA brand. I just think they could fit a little better. If they are the best available then I guess I'll put them on. I just have trouble using parts made in lands far, far away where aftermarket auto parts suffer from poor quality control. Guess I'd better get over it.
Thanks!

RE: Choosing Wheel Cylinders
Aside from the NAPA cylinder being a bad fit, I could not get the brake line nut started into the back of the cylinder. I took them back to NAPA and bought Raybestos cylinders from Carquest. Perfect fit. The flare fitting screwed right in with ease. The flare seat in the Raybestos is of the traditional style and not a junky little tube with a rubber washer for a seat as was in the United brand.
Thanks For The Help!
