Ok so I "upradged" to a 180* tstat, I just went to my local auotparts store and got there "Performance" (I use that word lightly) ones. But I was curious as to if the jet or any other one you get from jegs or summit is actually better? Do the jet (or equiviliant) ones flow better? Keep the engine cooler? perform better at all? Or should I just not worry about it and keep the one I have in there in there? thanks in advance.[/align]

 

And has anyone actuallytried a 160* one what were the benifits if any?

 

a 160 will toss a code, any 180* will work fine, I've got mine from napa and have had no problems in the past

 

i cant find a t stat anywhere around me for my truck so im runnin no t stat and she hauls assssss. it warms up to about 150 and i got power on tap all the time . its only a summer truck so i dont have to worry about the winters with no heat
