I have new "DODGE" and "4X4" tailgate decals but my truck was repainted and I cannot tell where the originals were appliedonce before. Can someone give me rough measurements for each decal from the lower or upper corners of the tailgate? would much appreciate that ...thanks

 

Just measured for ya. 12.5" from bottom of tailgate to bottom of decals, 2.5" from side of tailgate to side of decal.

 

cool thanx...but what if mytailgate doesn't have the wide accent moulding at the bottom. Was there a lower location? Anyone have a lower applied decal?

 

I'd think if you don't have that to just measure to the bottom of the tailgate. That piece covered the tail gate. If the tailgate is shorter under there I wouldn't think it would be much if any.

 

I get the measuring part...Just thought maybe Dodge had another decalmounting location for tailgates without the bumper pad. Or maybe my Ram's tailgateis missing it's trim??

 

I just measured mine for you and I don't have the tailgate trim pc. It's the same as what Jason's measurments are.

 

Aren't those usually just removed? Did they ever make one without them? I just assumed all without them had just been removed.

 

Yeah, sorry I didn't see this post again earlier. I measured to the bottom of the tailgate itself, not to the bottom of the molding. The molding doesn't wrap around the tailgate, just goes from the bottom to 1/3 the way up or so. So yep, measurements should be the same, with or without it.

 

I think My neighbors truck has been repainted, but his are at the bottom of the tailgate. well at least the dodge (non 4x)

 

Why put the Decals in the stock location????

You can put them anywhere your like.
