well i got the iac all cleaned up put it back on hooked up all the wires and my truck wont start. the only way it will start is if i am holding down the throttle. not sure what it is but i need my truck on the road by tomorow morning. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Same thing happened to me. When cleaning the iac it was so caked with stuff that the plunger fell out in my hands. Cleaned it up and put it back in anyway. Truck would not idle but would start and ran at high rpms. Tried cleaning it again and it still wouldn't work right. Had to buy a new iac. About 49- at napa. Was your throttle body off and did you clean the passages. Mine were really bad. You may try removing it and recleaning. Also make sure its fully plugged in. Good luck.

 

all fixed took it out and pushed the plunger part farther in and now it runs good. thanks
