SLIGHT ROD KNOCK AT STARTUP?
HI GUYS, I JUST BOUGHT A USED 2005 RAM 1500 WITH THE 3.7 ENGINE. IT HAS 43,000 MILES. I HAVE HAD IT ABOUT A WEEK AND ONE MORNING I NOTICED A 1-2 SECOND CONNECTING ROD RATTLE UNTIL OIL PRESSURE HITS. I JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGED THE DAY I GOT IT. I JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE THE DOOR OPEN YET WHEN I STARTED IT AND HEARD IT. NOW I HEAR IT ALMOST EVERY MORNING. ITS VERY QUICK AND SHORT BUT CONCERNS ME. OIL WAS CHANGED ACCORDING TO THERE RECORDS EVERY 3000 + OR-. I PUT PENNZOIL 5W-30W IN IT. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS? IS IT NORMAL OR DO I NEED TO HAVE THE BEARINGS LOOKED AT?RUNS GREAT OTHERWISE! THANKS! PETE.....

Heya Pete, welcome to the forums. Please turn your caps lock off, it hurts my eyes to read your stuff.
Did you change the oil, or did you have a shop do it? Also, you might want to post this in the 3rd Gen section, as that is for Rams of your model year. The 2nd gen section here is just for 1994-2001 Rams.
Maybe an Admin could even move the post for you...?
