Default Engine misfire TSB question...

I have a 98 ram 1500 with the 5.9 and 138k on it. Great site BTW, tons of usefull info on here! I have been using the search function and think I have narrowed down the problem on my truck. The engine idles fine, uses no oil and trans shifts fine, all up to about 40-50 mph when it shifts into overdrive. When it shifts into OD or shortly afterwards it makes a shuddering or whoosing noise. When I lift off the throttle and get back into it the noise disappears. I am guessing this is an engine misfire. In my searching I fournd TSB 18-48-98 which pretty much describes my situation,I checked the computer under the hood and it dosen't have an updated sticker on it. (My wife has a 98 Durango and it dosen't have the problem and it has the updated sticker). My question is: Am I on the right track here or could it be something else? I replaced the TPS and it still acts the same. If it is in need of a computer update is this something the dealer would cover or is this on me? If it is on me can I buy a superchip or hypertech programmer and upload the performance settings and also correct the bad factory programming? Any help is much apprecieated!!!
