Default pto

Ok i was crawling around under the dodge today and i noticed this plate thingie on the side fo the trans that said PTO...what is that??? I drive a 94 ram 2500 4X4with a 360 v8 and some kind of axles and a lot of attitude. As you can tell I know very litle about my truck but I love it and it loves to go off road with pleasure. The truck was given to me and its my first Dodge so I am clueless about its features and stuff.

The NV4500, what would be in a 2500 5spd, came with a spot for a PTO. This is not used on the stock truck, so there is a block off plate. If you had a PTO setup, you could just remove the plate and bolt it up (would need a shifter for itthough).
