ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT ON NEED HELP
ive read on some previous posts that when you abs and brake lights are on its usually the rear diff speed sensor, i have both lights on and i changed the rear diff sensor and they are still on, what else can i check or replace so the lights go off and everything works properly?? i have a 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4 4 wheel abs, thanks
I had the same problem about 4 months ago. I let a friend drive my truck and when i got it back the lights were on and my brake was spongy. what i did to fix it was bleed my brakes out and refill the fluid. for some reason that was the problem. you probably got a couple air bubbles in your brakes
I am having the same problem at the moment and was about to post on it but saw that you had already, although I am sure that because my speedo is not registering until about 20mph that it probably is the speed sensor
You need to inspect the toner ring thats just behind the ring gear for any nicks burs or other defects. Any defects can affect the dwell pickup in the sensor, which usually throughs the ABS light. I have just replaced mine for the same reason.
