Whats the biggest tire with a stock hight suspention can i fit under a 97 1500 4x4 (truck has 265/75/16 now and just barly rubs on driver plastic wheel well if turned a hard right and hit a big bump.

I and thinking of getting a set of Thornburgs 31/11.00/16 or a Nokian Vitieva 265/75/16.

How much will one notice a 2"-3" lift driving wise and will it start really guzzling gas if i lift it that much?
