Default Melting headlight switch connector

Have anyone out here had any problems with their light switch melting due from one of the wires getting hot?

I’ve replaced the switch and the Molex style multi connector plug but after the wire burns and melts the plug (breaking the connection) that attaches to the switch hardware the front headlights go off until the switch and wire is replace. Note when the front headlights go off the fog lights still work as well as the parking lights.

The wire designator is solid GREEN and listed/labeled “H”. Any assistance would be very helpful.

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 (318) extended cab.

Thanks in advance
