I actually like the Vortex Classic muffler better than the Flowmaster.Less hum inside the cab area and it doesn't give you that popping sound thats notorious from Flowmasters. They are made with fiberglass inside to muffle the noise some.Still gives you a great sound and performance upgrade too.

WTF are you smoking? The FlowMaster mufflers have absolutly NO fiberglass in them especailly the supper 44 and super 40 I know i have had both. Nether one or the had a "popping"
sound deep agressive tone yes, you must be thinging of the cheap knock off FlowMaster's off E-gay or a glasspack. If you are going to give Information lets make sure we are giving information. I come on here to get good info. as do many others if he wanted to get fed a bunch of BS we would go ask to dealership on how to fix and moddify our trucks.

In his defense it sounds like he was saying the Vortex or whatever has fiberglass in it. I'm also going to go a head and say that I have a Flowmaster 40 and it doesn't really have a popping noise unless you downshift it into say first gear and let the engine slow it down. Then it does but so does anything really. The only other time is when you rev it up in neutral after the Mangaflow cat it seems to have a popping noise but I think this is from the cat. I don't notice a popping really while driving but it does sort of have it if you just rev it up.

Obviously YOU are smoking too much!! If you re-read the post friend you may be able to interpret that I said the VORTEX CLASSIC have fiberglass inside them,NOT FLOWMASTER.I know because I have been running Meineke's for over 18yrs now and been in the business for over 23yrs.But thanks for the critique.

As for the popping, anyone who has a Flow can attest to the popping after you rev it and let off.If you're never had it.then you must be a special guy.LOL

Here's the link on them so you can do some research on them....http://www.cherrybomb.com/products/

Thanks for reading the post correctly.LOL

That popping is actually form the Flow, not the cat.Once I switched to a Vortex muffler,it almost completely stopped.Actually most of the time it does not do it at all.If I rev it all the way up.im sure it will do it,but hasn't yet.

And I have swapped MANY muffler's on my customers cars and trucks and there have been no complaints but many praises about the Vortex Classic's.

Im not knocking Flow by any means.I like them as well, just a personal preference for me and form the feedback from my customers.

In any case whichever muffler brand you go with,if you like it,then all is good.In my business,I get paid to sell ANY muffler,so either way,im happy.
