Power steering gearbox blues

Power steering gearbox blues
First off, let me say I know it's a 4X4 truck, and I know it's not gonna handle like a sports car. With that said, my gearbox leaves much to be desired. After replacing all other steering components, I bought a reman gearbox and had it installed, and was very disappointed. I pulled a 2WD box off another 99 and installed it, and it was much better, until lately. I returned the reman box, but could only get another reman. I need a box BUILT for hammering and still stay tight.... Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have read on another forum the one off a 2500 will work, and is actually cheaper.

I found my reman geerbox is okay, but the intermediate shaft was not tightened. After tightening it, i have no slop, a little wandering because of my tracbar, but from what it was when i got it, to what its like now, its almost like a car.
check your tracbar also.
