How do you replace the water pump on a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500? tnx..newbie here..

its not that hard to work on the pump..first, remove the shroud, fan, belt and then the bolts. Its just as easy to replace after you have unbolted it..Good luck..

While you got that all apart, might as well consider a new timing chain, main seal, T-Stat... and maybe a new fan clutch too.
Heck, a new serpentine belt?
all depending on how many miles you have, and how many you intend on putting on the truck...

OH, and replace all your hoses, the two that go to he rad, and the bypass hose too!
