Default Wet weather starting issues?

Seems when severe weather comes around especially with sideways precipitation the truck wont start. Turns over and over but won't fire. If I wait awhile or come back after the rain or snow stops it will usually start. What is the typical culprit?

Usually wet weather concerns are ignition related. Check your spark plug wires, especially the Coil wire, Next I would look for a cracked ignition coil and Thirdly a bad crank sensor.
Try misting down the ignition wires with a spray bottle and listen for snapping sounds or visible flashing from ignition arcing

The best advice ever. Took the truck down to the car wash. The manual kind where you actually have to spray the vehicle and scrub it with a brush. It's got a one sided tunnel so it's really dark. Anyways, I wanted to clean out my engine bay (especially after seeing pics of Silvers engine). Covered the open air hat with a plastic bag. Sprayed it down with degreaser. Let it soak. Then sprayed it down. When I started it up I looked for the arcing and sure enough there it was in back on the drivers side. Plug wires crossed like spaghetti. shooting little sparks all over the place. Upon closer inspection found a wire touching the manifold slightly melted through. I think I just found my loss of power and my wet starting issues. Haven't had time to fix yet but definitely sure it's the problem. Will also look into the routing TSB for proper wire routing.

Sweet!
If the wires are a few years old replace them all.
Also check the ends of the ignition wires, if any of the ends are corroded at the cap then replace the cap and rotor too.

Good Luck

Well I bought this truck last year and had all sorts of problems that I wound up paying the dealer for. It was pretty trashed when I bought it. But you can't beat $800.00. Any way the dealer replaced the wires. Wrong obviously. I guess I'll do it the right way. But I've been looking into 8mm wires and nobody around here seems to have them. I might have to order them online. There are some Accel brand 8mm wires but none of the parts stores list any of them for my vehicle. The coil was new last year so I don't have to worry about that and I will take a look at the cap and rotor even though those were new last year as well. Any cross reference numbers on the accel brand?
