Default e-fan?allready installed.shroud or no shroud?

i have had my flexalite180 fan(3300cfm) installed for awhile now and had to put my shroud back on to hold my radiator tank and washer tank. i didnt have any metal to fab some brackets up to hold them, but now i do. i am wanting to get some more room under the hood for a future cam swap. will it hurt anything if i get rid of my shroud? i am thinking maybe it might even help the air flow a little if i get rid of it.

I have read stuff from both people against removing it, and others for it. I am unsure myself.

I don't have the shroud, just e-fans. I zip tied the bottles into the bay with the HD zip ties they use on home a/c ducts. You can get a pack of 10 zip ties for like 5 bucks. They are about an 1/8th inch thick, 3/4 inch wide, and about 3 feet long.

Never had a problem with overheating or bottles jiggling or spilling over.

I posted the question before I installed mine on one of the forums where the real performance nuts and performance shop owners & techs are known to hang out. I was told that the shroud needed to stay to direct air flow over the radiator properly by like the first eight guys who posted, so I kept the shroud.
Now, saying that, I know two people who ditched the shroud (one came up with a damn nice setup for the reservoirs and mounts, very sharp) and neither one has ever had an overheat issue to my knowledge...

thanks for the answers. think i might give it a try. i have some of those big zip ties. i might just take the shroud off and zip tie everything down temporary and see if its ok.never even thought about using those zip ties.if so, fab some metal brackets up for a permenent fix.
