Default Charging circuit issues

I've got a 1997 1500 SS/T 5.9 About a month ago the check engine light and gen light came on while the wife had it. Took it to a dealer and was told the alternator was no good. They did not have access to an alternator so I picked one up locally from a NAPA store and drove it over. The new alternator did not change anything. Next was a NAPA rebuilt PCM which I took to the dealer to have flashed. Still no fix. I have checked all the fuses and taken the alternator in 3 times to have it tested and it always shows good. I have tried to ground the field wire per the Chiltons and it does not change the charging at all.

The engine codes are.
P0743(M) Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid/Trans Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid circuit (3 or 4-speed auto. Trans. Only).
P0748(M) Governer Pressure Soleniod Control/Transmission Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the governor pressure solenoid or relay circuits (4-speed auto. Trans. Only).
P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit Current state of solenoid output port is different than expected (4-speed auto. Trans. Only).

Could this short be causing the alternator to not charge???

Firstly, fire the dealership. From your description of events, they are absolutely clueless.

What is the condition of the battery? Make sure you have a fully charged battery according to specific gravity, not just a voltmeter. Once you have obtained that, then you can begin systematically checking the charging circuit. Do you have the electrical schematics for a 97? I have a Haynes manual for a 98, and they do a pretty good job providing readable diagrams. Just guessing at this point, but it could be a fusible link somewhere in the charging system. That's where I would start.

Thanks for the response. I don't have the ability to test specific gravity on the battery. I do have the wiring diagram also and that was the next step.

Just really seems odd that I can't bypass the EVR and go full charge state.
