ya...a pinging sound. but not teh pinging all dodge trucks do.
sounds different.

But it seems to be getting worse. Whenever Im above 4000, the speed doesnt increase...if anything Ill lose speed. Then it'll shift and ill gain speed. IF I can keep it below 2000 rpms, itll run fine. Its around 3-4 that I run into trouble

I was running wide open today and only hit 70, on a 5 mile stretch.

All the fluids are good. Ill prolly get the cat tested next.

UPDATE:

Okay..check engine light went crazy 2 miles from home today.

checked the codes....random/multiple cylinder misfires. All 8.

Firgured ill go get the cat checked tommrow at midas, its only a few miles away. Otherwise...who knows. maybe the TPS?

okay...another update

did some work to it today

new plugs/wires, havent replaced the cap yet..

no improvement whatsoever.
Also got the exhaust tested, everythin down tehre is fine.

Tranny?
