Default Sending units locations for Autometer gauges

I'm going to put new Autometer gauges in my 2001 5.9 v8 (oil pressure and water temp, both electric), and was wondering the best place for the sending units? Thanks

I don't know much about those specific ones, but when I was looking into getting a transmission temp gauge I was told you could put the sending unit inline with the hard line that goes in or out of the transmission cooler. I would think for say the water temp gauge, you could put it in some sort of water line or something. Sorry I couldn't give a better answer. Good luck

Yes, I still have my factory gauges, but since they are not the most accurate, I want to add the Autometer gauges in a pillar pod. I figure I can put a tee in the heater hose for the water temp gauge (I'm a plumber, I have all the fittings for that). My question for that is, which side would you put the tee in, driver or passenger side?
Also, the only place I see for the oil pressure sending unit is the back of the block where the factory sending unit is. Is there any other place to install it, or do I have to use that location?
Thank you.
