I wanted to know if you accidentally reversed the intake gaskets on a 97 5.2 or put them on the wrong side, is it possible to block off the water passages by accident or would it not matter?

I know the intake ports matched perfectly with the gaskets, but I am having some water flow issues and am trying to narrow it down, thanks.

 

I don't think it's possible to do that , I believe they are mirror images. I don't have a set to stare at to verify though.
