The tires you have now are pretty close to 33" (assuming you are running 285 75r16 or 285 70r17)

Here is a converter that will help you get to a size you can understand:
http://www.redrock4x4.com/tech/tire_calc.php

So to go to a 35" tire you will gain about an inch in height overall (difference in tire size / 2 = change in overall truck height, not accounting for any changes made to the suspension)

Yea, if you are ever stuck on not knowing what the exact size is of a metric tire, Google "tire size conversion" you'll get about a hundred sites with a quickie calculator.

I put a 3" body lift on my 2nd gen when I had it, fit 35s with a little rubbing, nothing major, just a little plastic trimming in the front to correct it, no metal cutting.

Default RE:

I had a 3 inch suspension with 35's on 15x8 wheels. I ended up lifting it 5 inches to get them to clear without body contact when the suspension flexed off-roading. They fit good on the street though. Guess it all depends on how you use the truck.

Check out this tire size calculator. Should help you get an idea about your options on tire sizes.
