Tire and lift Help

The tires you have now are pretty close to 33" (assuming you are running 285 75r16 or 285 70r17)
Here is a converter that will help you get to a size you can understand:

So to go to a 35" tire you will gain about an inch in height overall (difference in tire size / 2 = change in overall truck height, not accounting for any changes made to the suspension)

Yea, if you are ever stuck on not knowing what the exact size is of a metric tire, Google "tire size conversion" you'll get about a hundred sites with a quickie calculator.
I put a 3" body lift on my 2nd gen when I had it, fit 35s with a little rubbing, nothing major, just a little plastic trimming in the front to correct it, no metal cutting.
