Cool cruise control cable

someone hould remeber me posting about my high ldle, i got that temerarally ( i cant spell) fix, it was by battery falling on my cruise control cable a few times, it has gotten pintched, the cable runs from the vacuum thing under my battery tray to the throttle body, it needs to be replaced, i went the the autozone and advanced auto in town and they both tell me that the part isnt even for my truck i cnt get a new one, or the autozone guy told me that " it mus nto be a cable) so i was woundering, is that a dealer only part or is it something they are just looking up wrong, or can a get a cable off like a dakota or a durango and do the same thing?

Probably dealer only.
You should be able to buy the cable separate from the Cruise servo (vac thingy)

The Dakota, Durango cable should physically fit but will probably be too short as yours is mounted under the battery.

Try a wrecker. The cable isn't a commonly replaced part so odds of finding one still on the wrecked truck should be good.
