hey lastrights

I hated my stock green lights, and i bought an American Racing overlay. Not only did these screw up gauges, and did not look good. I searched on Ebay and ended up buying some really cool reverse glow lights. They came with an inverter and dimming switch, and really changed things for my truck. It was easy to install and I did not have to screw with the gauges at all. And they only cost $35 with shipping to Canada from USA!!! You do have to hook them up to your existing wiring for power, and now my new lights work off of the stock dimming switch, so everything appears to be stock. Check out this video of my truck:

hi lastrights

Yeah 2000 Ram is completely different instrument cluster, but here is a link for you to check out, this is the same kit, but for yours:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/i650-...=p4506.c0.m245

By the way, I have a Sony setup with red/blue lights, and blue neons same location as yours, only i tucked mine up so you only see the glow. Extremely nice ride you have there man. I screwed up my original instrument cluster, because I thought you had to remove the needles (it said to in the instructions-American Racing). I bought a used cluster with lower mileage in good condition off ebay, and then this kit. It says to only be installed by professional which I am not. But this kit went on just by sliding it over the needles very carefully, no sweat, just take your time! I was amazed at how easy it was and what a difference it made in the overall appearance! And it was extremely cheap considering the high quality! It is the power inverter that makes it glow so nicely!!

yeah i just looked at your video again and your tach does not match the kit's layout. I imagine your tach would not give you a true accurate reading if you were to install it.
