Alternator Going??
Hey all,
Can anyone give any input on whether or not my alternator is on its way out. When running the needle is right in the middle, but when I first start up the truck, it takes several seconds for the needle to climb to the middle. I've also noticed recently, the yellow lights on the radio will not light up until the needle makes it all the way. The battery is only a year old so I'm almost certain its not the battery. Any input would help. Thank you

check the connection on the back of the alternator and battery terminals. clean off all corrosion and clean them nice and shiny with sandpaper or brush. see if that helps. if not, autozone or advance or wherever you bought the battery can load test it. it could have a dead cell. most batteries have a warranty with full replacement for 1-2 years and then a pro-rated warranty after that.
